ByteLite LLC

Founder-led technology research and development focused on ByteLite, in Helena, Montana, USA. The research work began in 2024; ByteLite LLC was formed in 2025.

The work.

Data is expensive to keep and to move. ByteLite is being developed as a deterministic lossless representation architecture, with the target of producing a smaller self-contained representation for every source file, from which the exact original can be reconstructed. That target is still being engineered and proven.

The proof philosophy.

Exact reconstruction comes first, because a system that cannot return the original has not earned the right to talk about size. Any size claim is counted from the complete artifact — not estimated, and not with part of the cost moved somewhere uncounted.

Where something has not been proven, this site says so. I am still building this, and saying so plainly is better than polished language that makes unfinished work sound finished.

This ladder is the standard applied to every statement on this site. It is not a progress report: which rung ByteLite currently occupies is recorded in one place only, with the evidence behind it, on the validation page.

Commercial intent.

Personal use is planned as a flat subscription, priced so that one large file can never become an unexpected bill. Business and enterprise licensing is planned against a 50/50 share of verified qualifying savings, so the company earns only when a measured saving exists. Both depend on validation that is still in progress.
