Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, inquiry type, message and optional organization you enter are sent to a server function on this website. That function turns your message into an email to ByteLite LLC and does not store it anywhere else.
The email is delivered by SendGrid, a third-party email delivery provider, and forwarded to the company mailbox through Cloudflare's email routing service and the company's email provider. Each of these processes the message in order to deliver it, under its own policies. ByteLite LLC keeps the resulting email in its mailbox for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence. Your information is not sold, not added to a marketing list, and not used for any purpose other than responding to you.
To limit abuse, the server function uses your IP address to count recent submissions. That count is held temporarily in server memory and is not written to storage.
Hosting and server records
This website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP addresses, browser information and requested addresses in order to serve pages and protect its service, and it may keep request logs under its own policies. ByteLite LLC does not use that data to identify or profile visitors.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser's local storage.
Payments, reservations and the Supporter Pack
No payment, reservation or purchase can be made through this website today. Checkout is switched off in this website's configuration.
If payments are ever enabled, they will be processed by Stripe on its own hosted checkout page. ByteLite LLC would not receive or store card numbers. This policy will be updated, and the change shown to you, before any checkout is switched on, including a test-mode checkout.
Products and research systems
Compatibility app is in private development and is not publicly available. It will have its own privacy policy before any public release. No research system described on this website is available to the public, and none collects information through this website.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what information ByteLite LLC holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the contact form and choose "Privacy request". ByteLite LLC will respond within a reasonable time and in line with the law that applies to you.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and some product pages describe adult products. ByteLite LLC does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. A change that affects how your information is handled will be described on this page before it takes effect.
