Overview

ByteLite LLC takes the security of its website and services seriously. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, we encourage responsible disclosure.

Scope

This policy applies to security issues affecting:

  • The public ByteLite LLC website at thebytelite.com, including every page it serves
  • The public contact form and the endpoint behind it
  • The publicly reachable checkout and billing endpoints, and the payment flows they start
  • Any other ByteLite LLC service that is reachable from the public internet without credentials

Private beta software, research systems, and non-public infrastructure are outside public testing scope unless explicitly authorized in writing by ByteLite LLC.

Please do not test payment flows with real card details. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted pages, and the checkout controls on this site are currently disabled. If you believe you have found a payment-related issue, describe it and we will reproduce it in a test environment rather than asking you to complete a transaction.

What to Include

  • Description of the vulnerability
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Potential impact
  • Your contact information

Our Commitment

  • We will make a reasonable effort to acknowledge valid reports and to provide updates as review progresses
  • We will tell you what we found, including if we conclude the issue is not exploitable
  • We will credit you (if desired) when the issue is resolved

ByteLite LLC is a solo-founder company, so there is no security rota and no guaranteed response window. That is a statement of capacity, not of how seriously reports are taken — a real vulnerability in a live payment or contact path gets looked at ahead of everything else.

Please Do Not

  • Access or modify data without permission
  • Perform actions that could harm our services or users
  • Publicly disclose the issue before we have addressed it

Legal Protection

ByteLite LLC will not pursue legal action against researchers who follow this responsible disclosure policy, act in good faith, and do not cause harm.
